Biography

Michael Boisvert was born in Timmins, Ontario, Canada (made popular by Shania Twain). Playing hockey and other sports all his life, the acting bug really didn't hit him until his first year of post-secondary education where he was studying business. After being approached to model, he turned to acting and was off to study in New York City. Upon graduation he moved to Los Angeles where he got his first taste of film and television when he booked his first US national commercial. He moved back to Canada, more specifically, Toronto, where he booked small parts here and there. The doors began to open when he booked a supporting actor role in the remake of the 70's TV movie "Brian's Song" (He was the quarterback of the Chicago Bears Jack Concannon).
His big break came when he was cast as a guest star in the short lived series "Tarzan", then quickly after he was cast in his biggest role, a lead in the ABC Family movie "Celeste in the City".
After various other acting roles in television and film, he was cast in a lead role in the film "Deadly Skies" along side Antonio Sabato Jr., Dominic Zamprognia and Michael Moriarty. This moved him to Vancouver, and allowed him to be cast as a guest lead in the series "Youngblades". He has recently finished roles on the behind the scenes TV movie of "Diff'rent Strokes" and as a member of the crew aboard the Daedelus on "Stargate: Atlantis".
